VERO FIBER COMPLETES FIBER NETWORK INSTALLATION IN LEADVILLE, COLORADO

Vero Fiber, the Colorado-based fiber optic internet service provider has completed the network for delivery of its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) internet services in Leadville, Co. The private infrastructure deployment, which covers the city of Leadville, took ten months to complete and represents a multimillion-dollar investment. With network construction complete, residents and businesses of the community can connect to the 100% fiber network, which is capable of symmetrical speeds of up to 10 gigabits-per-second.
In response to the completion of the project, Laurie Simonson, Leadville’s City Administrator, echoed Vero’s enthusiasm for the project’s completion in her statement: “We are really excited to have Vero Fiber fully deployed in Leadville. We appreciate Vero’s investment in our community.”

Vero’s presence in Leadville dates back to 2018, when they worked to provide Lake County School District with reliable, affordable fiber internet connecting the schools. Completing the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) project marks an important milestone for both Leadville and Vero as the town’s only fiber internet provider, the symmetrical gigabit speed offerings far exceed previous speeds available to the community.

About the Affordable Connectivity Program
The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. A household is eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program if the household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or meets one of the defined criteria as defined by the FCC.
